Having an Android Cost Him His Job...

How someone lost 9k because they were on Android

A potential partner reached out to offer their services last week (which we were in dire need of)

We vibed well, and we were seriously considering moving forward.

The offer was tempting, $3,000 a month to do what would take us 10-15 hours per week—what’s not to like, right?

After the call was over, they sent over some case studies. All was well.

I then texted to the group chat:

"iPhone or Android?"

Now, here's where things got interesting.

One of the partners was proudly waving the iPhone flag.

But the other? They were on Android.

Just like that, my interest evaporated.

I knew it was over.

The sale ended immediately.

They lost out on a potential 9k deal over their phone.

It wasn’t about the money or the service they offered.

It was about the mindset.

When you’re team iPhone, you value sleek performance and a cohesive ecosystem.

Android? Well, it often represents the opposite.

I can't risk my collaborations with that kind of divide.

So we moved on and found someone else who gets it.

Someone who understands the world of innovation and communication.

The choice is simple for me.

If you want to reach out, make sure you're on the same page.

And if you’re still rocking that Android life?

Maybe I’m not the best fit for you.
