Every day I ask myself 1 important question…

What are you optimizing for today?

Work, workout, eat, sh*t, sleep repeat.

This is what most entrepreneurs are optimizing for.

And let me tell you…

I was the WORST at this for years.

I thought being “productive” meant locking myself in a room and grinding for 16 hours straight.

And in a sense you need to go through that phase of life to see how hard you can work

I’d wake up, stumble to my computer, and wouldn’t see sunlight until I collapsed into bed.

I convinced myself this was the path to success.

“Real entrepreneurs sacrifice everything,” I told myself.

But here’s the crazy part…

The times when I had the MOST motion in my business were actually when I had the LEAST motion in my social life.

I was making money, sure.

But I was miserable.

Isolated.

And honestly?

My business growth was starting to plateau.

This is when I decided to invest in my network and build a social life locally with other people in business.

I started saying YES to events.

YES to dinners with other entrepreneurs.

YES to masterminds and meetups.

At first, it felt like I was “wasting” time.

“Where is the ROI on this time?”

But then something started happening…

The relationships I was building were opening doors I never even knew existed.

The ROI has been absolutely INSANE.

Last night at 2am, we were literally scheming up ways to buy yachts, mansions, and helicopters.

And GET PAID to buy this sh*t

(Like, seriously… we had a 2-hour conversation yesterday about which helicopter would be best for business meetings.)

But more than that…

We’re figuring out how we can get PAID to do things that are fun.

Revenue streams that run while we’re on vacation.

This shift happened because I stopped optimizing for “busy” and started optimizing for CONNECTIONS.

I wish someone had told me this years ago:

Don’t just lock yourself in a room.

And the fastest way to scale isn’t “doing the work”…

It’s working with the RIGHT people.
